FORM 3 NOTES

Here are some notes according to the Form 3 syllabus. We hope this can help you out in some way~

Polygon

A polygon is a plane shape (two-dimensional) with straight sides. Examples include triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons and so on.

Regular

Regular Pentagon  A "Regular Polygon" has: all sides equal and all angles equal. Otherwise it is irregular.

Irregular Pentagon

Properties

Exterior Angle              The Exterior Angle is the angle between any side of a shape,  and a line extended from the next side. All the Exterior Angles of a polygon add up to 360°

Interior Angles The Interior Angle and Exterior Angle are measured from the same line, so they add up to 180°. Interior Angle = 180° - Exterior Angle

MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION OF ALGEBRAIC FRACTIONS

Ò Example  :-

      a)    p² - pq  ×     p          =  p ( p – q )  ×             p

                 2         p²  -  q²               2              (p + q) (p – q)

                                             =      p²

 b)   4   ÷   2     = ² 4   ×  y

                            =  2
